Phosphorescent
Here's some incredibly solid indie folk-rock that comes to us via the fabulous combination of Athens, GA and NYC.
Laura Veirs
Veirs' 2010 album July Flame is a carefully composed work that seems to present something new with each listen. Let me know what you think.
Freelance Whales: Weathervanes
Weathervanes was the 2010 debut album of this NYC-based band. Taking a stylistic queue from Sufjan Stevens, they've got banjos, harmoniums, and xylophones in the mix to create a captivating sound.
Blitzen Trapper: Destroyer of the Void
I really like the laid back, Americana-drenched sound of this Oregon-based band.
Grinderman: Grinderman 2
What do you think of this Nick Cave project? I'm on the fence a bit, but still can't stop listening to this 2010 album.

Tontelas feat. Ski: On My Way
Off the 2010 compilation album Coming Home by Boozoo Bajou, the German duo also responsible for the Juke Joint compilations some of you might have heard of. This is ridiculously smooth song, and I hope you enjoy it.
