Ra Ra Riot: Boy

Chamber pop and Baroque pop are two of the terms used to describe the music this Syracuse, New York band writes.  Now, I have always thought these types of sub-categories are just silly, although I suppose they are helpful to some people.  By the way, the reason Ra Ra Riot is described that way is because they have a cello and a violin in their permanent lineup, and therefore conjure up images like this.

However you describe their genre, they're creating some very cool music, like the song below, off of the 2010 album The Orchard.
