This Magic Moment was a hit for The Drifters in 1959. In 1997, the legendary Lou Reed's version of the same song was included on the soundtrack for the film Lost Highway, which I have never seen, but he delivers a fabulous cover of an already awesome song.

Jay & The Americans had the biggest hit version of the song reaching #6 in early 1969.
The vocals on the Jay & The Americans version are the best ever. Lou Reed's voice is terrible.
Right on, Walter, for some reason I like the Drifters version the best, though. And Kara, you're going to have the punks up in arms knocking Mr. Reed like that!
